Job description

Implementation Consultant I

We're looking for a detail-obsessed, relationship-driven professional to own the client experience from sales to service—guiding new clients through one of the most critical transitions they’ll make with us. You’ll manage the full onboarding journey: configuring payroll and benefits, delivering product training, and ensuring every client crosses the finish line.

You’ll managing multiple complex implementations simultaneously—each with different timelines, product configurations, and client expectations already shaped by Sales—while maintaining zero-error accuracy on first payrolls and leaving every client feeling genuinely taken care of. It’s project management and client relationship work happening at the same time with specific deadlines and milestones.

In this role you will...

  • Lead the handoff from Sales and own the full client relationship through implementation, ensuring commitments made during the sale are delivered without gaps.
  • Build and maintain transparent implementation project plans, coordinating across internal teams while keeping Salesforce and payroll platforms current.
  • Complete first payrolls with 100% accuracy before pay date and deliver L1 consultations on Benefits, WC, UI, TDI, Time, and Voluntary Benefits.
  • Train clients and worksite employees on ProService technology, payroll processes, and benefits products.
  • Proactively identify and address implementation risks before they escalate, keeping assigned accounts out of at-risk status.
  • Execute clean, thorough transitions to the service team—complete documentation, on-timeline handoffs, and clients who feel confident in the partnership.

This is a high-accountability project management role where accuracy and client experience go hand-in-hand. You’ll have real ownership across a book of implementation clients, working through every stage of onboarding—payroll setup, benefits, insurance, and training—all within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where competing priorities and shifting timelines are part of everyday work.

Success requires proactive communication, clean documentation, and leaving every client confident before they move to service.


What You'll Bring To The Team

Prior experience in HR, payroll, benefits, or a PEO environment is preferred but not required—what matters most is that you’re organized, consultative, and relentlessly accurate.

  • You’ve managed five or more client facing projects simultaneously and built systems to keep each one on track without things falling through the cracks.

  • You hold yourself to a higher accuracy standard than most people think is necessary.

  • You’ve caught errors in payroll, benefits configurations, or data setup before they reached a client—and you’ve built habits that make that the norm, not the exception.

  • You build real trust with clients, even during stressful transitions.

  • You’re the person who figures it out across teams, not around them.

  • When something fell outside your lane, you coordinated with the right people, documented the outcome, and kept the project moving—without waiting to be told.

  • You get up to speed on new systems quickly.

  • You’ve been handed a new platform with limited training and were independently proficient within a few weeks.


Work Location

This role is based out of our Hawaii Kai office. We offer a flexible hybrid schedule that gives you the structure of in-person collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. In office Tuesday – Thursday, remote Monday & Friday.


Compensation

The base compensation for this position is $60,662.00 to – $75,827.00 per year depending on experience and qualifications.
