A strategic and hands-on Data Architect who can bridge business and technical teams, establish enterprise data standards, improve data quality, and build scalable analytics solutions that support organizational decision-making

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead enterprise data architecture, governance, and data quality initiatives across a complex healthcare analytics environment. This individual will be responsible for establishing data standards, ensuring enterprise-wide data integrity, supporting business intelligence platforms, and guiding the design and implementation of scalable data solutions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data warehousing, business intelligence, data governance, and enterprise architecture, with strong expertise in SQL and modern analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Data Architecture & Solution

  • Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of enterprise data solutions spanning multiple technologies and business domains.
  • Develop data models, integration strategies, and architectural standards to support enterprise analytics initiatives.
  • Evaluate and recommend data management tools, technologies, and best practices.
  • Ensure alignment between new solutions and established data governance standards.
  • Facilitate discussions regarding data warehouse architecture, integration strategies, and enterprise reporting solutions.

Data Governance & Quality Management

  • Develop and implement enterprise data governance and data quality strategies.
  • Establish and maintain metadata repositories, data dictionaries, business definitions, and naming standards.
  • Define and enforce data validation and quality controls across source systems.
  • Lead enterprise data cleansing and remediation initiatives.
  • Conduct regular data quality assessments and audits.
  • Promote continuous improvement practices related to data management and governance.

Data Quality & Issue Resolution

  • Identify, analyze, and resolve data quality issues involving accuracy, completeness, consistency, integrity, and duplication.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to improve data collection and management processes.
  • Ensure project methodologies and SDLC practices include appropriate data quality controls and deliverables.

Data Stewardship & Collaboration

  • Partner with business stakeholders, analysts, architects, and development teams to establish enterprise data standards.
  • Support governance committees and data stewardship programs.
  • Serve as a senior subject matter expert for enterprise data acquisition, integration, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Participate in technical design reviews and solution evaluation sessions.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, or Enterprise Data Architecture environments.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS), including: Data modeling, Performance optimization, Change management
  • Full software development lifecycle participation
  • Strong SQL development and data analysis skills.
  • Experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale data architecture solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing data governance and data quality frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with: Qlik, Health Catalyst, Snowflake
  • Epic data environments
  • Experience within healthcare, health insurance, provider, or payer organizations.
  • Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
