Job description

Job Summary:
AMETEK is a leading global provider of industrial technology solutions, and they are seeking a Head of Enterprise Data & Analytics to modernize the company's enterprise technology foundation. This role involves leading the data and analytics program, ensuring alignment with business priorities, and establishing a robust data governance model across the enterprise.
Responsibilities:
• Own and execute AMETEK’s Enterprise Data & Analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with ERP consolidation and the company’s long term operating model
• Translate enterprise business priorities (growth, margin, working capital, portfolio optimization) into decision driven analytics use cases with measurable value
• Lead the progression from initial pilot to enterprise rollout across all divisions, including roadmap, phasing, and operating model definition
• Serve as the owner of the enterprise lakehouse architecture, including:
• Data ingestion (ERP, CRM and other sources)
• Microsoft Fabric and Databricks platform strategy and validation
• Core medallion architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold) and semantic models
• Ensure analytics are decoupled from transactional systems, enabling cross ERP, cross division insight during and after ERP migrations
• Evaluate and govern the responsible use of AI / advanced analytics within the enterprise platform
• Establish and enforce an enterprise data governance model that prevents metric fragmentation while respecting appropriate BU autonomy.
• Define and institutionalize:
• Enterprise KPI definitions and ownership
• Customer, product, and end market taxonomies
• Data quality, certification, and approval processes
• Chair or co lead enterprise Data Governance Steering forums with senior functional leadership.
• Oversee delivery of enterprise and division level analytics assets, ensuring reuse of certified KPIs and consistent semantic models
• Ensure analytics investments possess tangible, quantified business cases tied to revenue growth, margin protection, cost reduction, and/or working capital improvements
• Track adoption, usage, and realized ROI across the enterprise
• Build and lead a federated Enterprise Data & Analytics organization, including:
• Central enterprise architecture, governance, and enablement teams
• Matrix leadership of divisional analytics contributors aligned to enterprise standards
• Define the internal FTE model and partner strategy required to scale enterprise analytics sustainably
• Act as a senior leader within the IT Leadership Team, influencing across functional and divisional boundaries.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 15+ years of progressive leadership in enterprise data, analytics, or digital transformation roles
• Proven experience building and scaling enterprise data platforms in complex, decentralized organizations
• Hands on leadership experience with ERP-adjacent analytics (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
• Demonstrated ability to establish enterprise data governance and KPI standards across autonomous business units
• Strong executive communication skills, including board and CEO level presentations and value articulation
Preferred:
• Experience in global industrial, manufacturing, or diversified portfolio companies
• Direct experience with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services, or comparable cloud platforms
• Track record of translating analytics into measurable financial impact (revenue growth, margin improvement, cost reduction)
• Experience scaling analytics through federated or CoE based models
