Job description

Purpose of The Job: 

To lead a team responsible for the creation, maintenance and support of restaurant level back of house (BOH), point-of-sale (POS), and digital menu data files for all KFC U.S. restaurants, ensuring data integrity in all platforms. 

Knowledge and Skill Required: 

  • Education - Bachelors degree in Computer Science preferred but not required
  • 3-5 years of experience in restaurant technology
  • Leadership and/or project management experience preferred
  • Proven ability to lead a high performing team with Smart, Heart, and Courage
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations  
  • High degree of expertise around inventory and projection management systems 
  • Strategic mindset and can deliver high-performance outcomes 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive for results and intellectual curiosity 
  • Confident, articulate and strong professionalism in all situations 
  • Well-rounded knowledge of restaurant lab systems with experience utilizing multiple support tools
  • Previous experience in creating and maintaining training and technical documentation  

Salary Range: $89,300 to $105,100 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.

Job Responsibilities: 

BOH and Menu Data Creation 
  • Gather necessary requirements from cross functional partners and other restaurant brands to facilitate and execute data changes for BOH Inventory, tax, menu and other data changes 
  • Execute data changes for national promotions and market tests for KFC and multi-brand restaurants 
  • Implement tax and fee change requests from franchisees, equity restaurants, and other internal teams across all menu channels 
  • Create and maintain data sets for restaurant level inventory and product projection BOH systems 
  • Ensure that all data changes are thoroughly tested for flawless on-time deployment with minimal errors and service disruption 
  • Build out menus and pricing in support of new restaurant openings 
  • Develop, maintain and support Kitchen Display System (KDS) data 
 
Leadership & Support
 
  • Lead a high performing team of data analysts responsible for creation and support of BOH and menu changes 
  • Collaborate with the broader Data Management Leadership team to effectively execute and support data changes across all platforms 
  • Work with internal Yum! Brands and KFC technical teams to drive enhancements across all tools to improve accuracy and turnaround times needed to effetely implement data changes 
  • Respond to and resolve Help Desk incidents and other escalations with a strong customer service mindset to correct data errors with urgency 
  • Collaborate with the KFC Help Desk leadership team to drive incident and call reduction 
  • Monitors and responds to critical escalations during non-business hours 
  • Lead huddles, scrums, and support reviews with the broader Data Management team to help prioritize work, monitor progress, maintain a backlog, and delegate important work 
  • Deliver clear communications to leaders and cross functional partners on BOH initiatives 
  • Provide cross functional partners and franchisees with assistance for BOH reporting needs 
  • Provide leadership and assistance on maintaining technical tools, licenses, and lab systems for the broader Data Management Team.

  • Franchisees, Contacts and Owners, Area Coaches, DM Team Members, Cross functional IT partners, Finance and Marketing.
