Summary The Admissions Coordinator manages the intake and admission of residents into the skilled nursing facility. This role ensures timely, accurate admissions, maintains census and bed availability, and provides residents and families with a smooth, compliant transition into long-term or post-acute care.

Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Experience working in Long-term Care highly preferred. Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to remain calm and professional in a clinical, fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with basic computer and data entry skills Ability to work effectively with residents, families, clinical staff, and referral partners Key Responsibilities Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges in compliance with federal and state regulations Collect, review, and process admission documentation, including consents and authorizations Maintain accurate census, bed tracking, and resident records Provide residents and families with admission materials, resident rights, and billing information Collaborate with nursing, medical records, and administrative teams to ensure smooth admissions Maintain waiting lists and support census development efforts
