As the largest national provider of certifications in food safety handling, the Exam Processing Specialist plays a critical role in properly grading accredited exams and administering certificates that allow the hard-working individuals of our industry to advance their careers. Working in collaboration with the Customer Operations, Exam Development and Program Compliance departments, you will support the timely execution and completion of all related key tasks and responsibilities.

Ideal candidates bring a minimum of two years of experience in a data-entry or general office administration role. Position requires a highly focused and self-motivated individual, with strong time management and attention to detail skills. Must bring a collaborative and "can do" spirit and a commitment to excellence.

Position operates onsite out of our Chicago office, Monday- Friday. Hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm and may fluctuate moderately to accommodate business and organizational needs, with occasional overtime.

Responsibilities:

  • Support all internal team members and departments following the Association mission and values while promoting Association culture.
  • Efficient and accurate processing and sending of exams, answer sheets and certificates within established timeframes.
  • Extensive knowledge and practice of exam security violations, examination administration policies and exam processing processes/procedures.
  • Efficient and accurate data entry of exam, proctor/instructor, and examinee information.
  • Maintain high level of security of exams and personal examinee and proctor/instructor data.
  • Research and resolve situations where identified tasks are outside of the normal processing timeframe.
  • Handle internal and external customer and vendor requests in a professional, customer-focused, and timely manner.
  • Assist other members of the Exam Processing team when needed.
  • Additional projects/tasks assigned by the Exam Processing Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in data entry or general office administration role.
  • Highly effective time management, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Proven experience in completing repetitive task with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to communicate with customers and staff, including technical and more complex information.
  • Highly reliable and dependable, adhering to the assigned work schedule.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of work records and projects.
  • Computer proficiency across Microsoft office, and ability to learn other programs as needed.
  • Work with high degree of integrity, honor, and character.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Comfortable standing or sitting for long periods of time within a cubicle.
  • Physical capacity to lift between 5-20 pounds of exam packages that come in the mail.
  • Successfully complete the Exam Processing training.
