Description
A Logistics One Customer Service Rep primarily works within our database to maintain accurate records of customers, inventory, pick-up and delivery information, etc., to ensure the business needs for both LOW and their customers is met accurately and in a timely manner. Incumbent also accepts and/or confirms deliveries and shipments and schedules the appropriate personnel to handle loading/unloading of trailers. The CSR works closely with the LOW Manager and LOW warehouse staff to ensure the efficiency of the Warehouse and the accuracy of the data which is used for inventory purposes, customer billing, and to respond to customer inquiries, and the efficiency of the warehouse operators.
Requirements
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Understand and develop knowledge of customers' performance criteria, products and inventories.
  • Work with Manager and Warehouse staff on inventory accuracy, customer communications, billing issues, scheduling of in-bound/out-bound product.
  • Enter data regarding inventory shipments, orders, goods in/out, accurately into Warehouse system; accuracy is critical as errors may result in over/under billing, incorrect deliveries, and potentially a loss of revenue and/or customers.
  • Schedule deliveries / shipments; arrange for incoming and outgoing product and adjust inventory levels accordingly
  • Other job duties or projects as assigned by management.

Education: High School diploma required while a 2-year college degree would be preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 1-year office or sales experience with data entry, while prior experience in warehousing and using inventory systems would be preferred.
Skills Required: Solid PC and customer service skills, data entry and good telephone etiquette. Good human relations skills as this position must relate to warehouse/material handling staff, customers and management. Requires the ability to handle several items at one time accurately and efficiently.
Physical Demands: Sit up to 8-hours/day; requires walking at various intervals to check inventories (concrete floors). May be required to lift up to 50-lbs on occasion.
Work Environment: Warehouse environment-the office is climate controlled, but the warehouse is not and may be hot/cold based on season. Casual dress is usually appropriate unless customer visits are scheduled which requires more professional attire. Safety shoes required while working outside the admin office on the warehouse floor.
