Job Description
Material Services Operator openings on all three shifts
Flagship Aerospace and Orthopedic Metals Plant
Rich 12% Quarterly Bonus (with track record of meeting/exceeding Bonus payouts!)
Starting wage of $26/hr.-$31/hr. (wide range scale, based on experience and performance)
Shift Premium/differential: Shift Premiums: 2nd shift = $2/hr., 3rd shift: $1/hr.
Materials Services Operator Job Summary:
  • Unload and verify incoming materials. Make the proper Computer transactions and submit documents to the proper persons. Deliver the material when necessary.
  • Load and verify outgoing materials.
  • Prepare, clean, and inspect material as per the standard procedures and quality manuals. Clear or reject materials and make the proper Computer transactions. Place the material in the proper location and accurately complete all documents.
  • Using materials called for on heat sheets; weigh-up, prepare and furnish both air and vacuum materials to the proper furnace staging area in a timely manner as to prevent furnace delays.
  • Maintain warehouse accuracy by updating material weights and locations, with proper Computer transactions.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment (after complete on the job training).
  • Maintain good housekeeping - general cleaning, sweeping, emptying trash hoppers.
  • Good team player with vacuum, air, and technical personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience
  • High School graduate, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Foundry or manufacturing experience in a related occupation preferred.
Other Qualifications
  • Aptitude for numerical accuracy and data entry into Computer is critical.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Computer data entry skills.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with all other departments.
  • Must be able to operate a powered industrial truck.
  • Must be able to read work instructions.
  • Must be able to physically work in an extreme heat stress environment with exposure to molten metal, dust and fumes and ability to wear respirator and other personal protective equipment required for the position.
  • Must be physically capable of performing heavy manual duties, operate a variety of machinery and equipment and wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to get on and off forklift or other mobile equipment.
  • Multi-tasking- can perform various other positions in department.
  • Available for overtime without advance notice.
