Job Position: Administrative & Data Entry Assistant - Membership Processing
Location: Austin, TX 78759
Pay Rate: $18/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8AM to 5PM starting mid-August 2026
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative & Data Entry Assistant to support our non-profit client's team with payroll-related data consolidation, membership processing, and general administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Customer service skills are also important, as occasional communication with members may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
-Consolidate payroll data from Excel spreadsheets and PDF reports into a centralized tracking spreadsheet.
-Maintain and update running totals for members with accuracy and consistency.
-Process incoming checks within our computer system with a high degree of accuracy.
-Perform data entry of membership forms efficiently and accurately.
-Reconcile and match names, amounts, and payroll office reports.
-Organize and maintain filing systems, including creating folders and labels.
-Maintain accurate records and ensure proper documentation.
-Assist with member phone calls and provide professional customer service when needed.
-Work independently and manage assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
-Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, especially when working with numbers.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, formulas, and spreadsheet management.
-Excellent data entry and typing skills.
-Strong computer skills and ability to learn internal systems quickly.
-Customer service experience preferred.
-Basic accounting, bookkeeping, or check-processing experience is a plus.
-Ability to manage time effectively and perform repetitive tasks accurately.
