Job description

Summary: Support and coordinate activities in Shipping & Receiving department by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Drives truck to deliver products to customers as needed.
  • Makes routine interoffice deliveries.
  • Records delivery information on daily delivery record.
  • Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
  • Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup and/or delivery.
  • Maintains cleanliness of company vehicles.
  • Performs routine maintenance on truck.
  • Supports department in Shipping and Receiving when not making deliveries or shipments.
  • Unloading deliveries and accepting incoming shipments.
  • Verifying shipments by comparing received items against purchase orders, invoices, or other documentation for accuracy and quantity.
  • Checking for damage or defects in received goods.
  • Data recording of received items into inventory management system.
  • Participate in inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate records.
  • Using pallet jacks, or other moving equipment to move materials
  • Distribution of packages and mail to company recipients.
  • Review customer sales orders and/or other documents to prepare product for shipment.
  • Prepares product and required documents for shipping.
  • Ensure that product and procedures conform to functional specifications, ISO standards and customer requirements.
  • Participate in inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate records.
  • Uses scales, counting equipment and printers
  • Data entry, processing and reporting.
  • Coordinates with Driver for pickups and deliveries from off site locations.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license. 

Education and/or Experience:

                                                             

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills:

                                                             

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

  • Ability to handle multiple detail-oriented tasks
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills                                                   
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
