Job description

Customer Service Representative

Every day, Ecowaste Solutions helps thousands of homes and businesses keep their communities clean, and the voice on the other end of the phone is often the first impression we make. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be that voice: the calm, knowledgeable problem solver who turns a frustrated call into a resolved one and makes customers glad they picked up the phone.

Working under the direct supervision of the Customer Service Manager, you will field residential and commercial calls, inquiries, and requests that range from quick questions to moderately complex issues. If you love variety, take pride in getting things right the first time, and want to build real expertise in the waste services industry, this role gives you the platform to do it, whether you are an experienced customer service pro or ready to launch your career.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Build knowledge of the waste services industry and Ecowaste Solutions processes, services, and policies through hands on experience and proven success routines.
  • Respond to residential and commercial customer service calls in a timely, accurate, and professional manner, treating every concern with respect.
  • Handle routine service change and contract compliance matters, including outbound calls to resolve service level changes, contractual obligations, billing questions, service cancellations, price increases, and equipment issues.
  • Respond to internal and external calls and emails promptly so customer concerns are understood, addressed, and resolved accurately.
  • Review individual performance metric reports with your manager and build action plans to support ongoing growth.
  • Create and maintain customer profiles in the account database, including route and service information, and validate customer data.
  • Log customer service interactions accurately and on time so the team can track inquiries and resolutions.
  • Perform other job related duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Comfortable with Business English, spelling, punctuation, and general office processes, with the ability to prepare correspondence, reports, and summaries. Bilingual is a plus!
  • Skilled in the operation of a personal computer and other office equipment.
  • Data entry experience is a plus, whether from prior work or coursework.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills paired with a genuine customer service mindset.
  • Familiarity with Windows, Outlook, Excel, and Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to accurately read and follow maps or GPS.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and pick up new software and programs quickly.
  • High school diploma or GED.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • This is an office based role that requires the ability to sit for long periods of time and use hands for extended data entry.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential, as this role directly supports the rest of the company's operations.
  • Preferred hours are 7:55 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with additional hours needed at times.
Pay and Benefits
  • Weekly pay
  • Multiple health plans available, including a tax-advantaged HSA option
  • Dental and vision
  • Company-paid basic life insurance
  • Retirement match up to 5%
  • Paid time off
  • LifeMart discounts
