Job description

Position Summary
Under general supervision, Mine Site Support is responsible for entering daily production data into the Mine Database system and assisting the Production Planner with weekly, monthly, and year-end reporting. This role requires adherence to corporate month-end reporting deadlines. The position also provides administrative support, including word processing, routing mail deliveries, maintaining filing systems, operating and maintaining fax machines, copiers, and printers, and ordering and managing office supplies.
Supervisor Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities over other employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Enter and validate daily production statistics into the Enterprise Reporting System.
  • Maintain work orders in Enterprise Reporting system for capturing operational statistics.
  • Execute, validate and deliver daily/weekly/monthly production reporting for operations team.
  • Maintain Task Training proof of record and update with training records, notify supervisors of impending expiration of tasks.
  • Support operations in managing vacation / time off requests.
  • Interface with payroll, operations and safety on task training compliance.
  • Assist the Production Planner with weekly, monthly, and year-end reports; meet corporate month-end reporting deadlines.
  • Provide administrative support (word processing, routing mail, filing).
  • Operate/maintain office equipment (fax/copy machines, printers); order/maintain office supplies.
  • Perform related work as required.

Typical Physical Demands
  • Requires prolonged sitting, with occasional bending, stooping, and stretching.
  • Frequent data entry for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination sufficient to operate office equipment (e.g., keyboard, phone, copier, calculator, other office and field equipment)
  • Requires adequate hearing and vision to prepare, review, and communicate reports effectively.
  • Mobility sufficient to travel as needed.

Typical Working Conditions
Work involves both office and site environments, requiring compliance with all safety and environmental standards and occasional evening or weekend work.
Education and Experience
  • Minimum one (1) year general clerical experience.
  • Demonstrated accuracy in data entry; excellent typing.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
  • JD Edwards (JDE) ERP experience preferred.
  • Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience providing the required skills.

Licenses, Registration, and Certifications
  • Must possess a valid driver's license through the duration of employment.
  • Must meet all insurability requirements as specified by Westmoreland's policies or Driver's insurance provider.

Skills/Competencies
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software.
