Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Data Entry & Parts Specialist will be responsible for ordering, stocking, and distributing automotive and equipment parts, as well as maintaining inventory records on a computer.
PAY TRANSPARANCY/COMPENSATION
$19.50 - $24.00/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Order parts, materials, and supplies used in maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment
  • Process invoices for payment; verify receipt of invoiced parts, materials, and supplies
  • Maintain and track inventory records on a computer
  • Unload, store, transport, deliver, and distribute parts, materials, and supplies
  • Work with vendors/sales representatives; follow up on items not received and check on item prices/availability
  • Clean the parts storage and work area
  • Work is typically based in a busy service center/maintenance garage environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Frequent work outside and in inclement weather conditions is required, including heat, cold and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Must be willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required by established Company Safety Standards. Normal work hours are in two shifts, Monday-Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm or Monday-Friday 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may also be required.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of automotive/equipment parts and supply clerk experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Must have a valid US Driver's License and satisfactory driver record
  • May require forklift certification
  • Ability to utilize a wide variety of reference and descriptive data and information, such as purchase orders, invoices, delivery slips, vendor contracts, and safety data sheets
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion
  • Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Must be able to lift, lower, carry, push or move objects up to 25lbs. Various tasks may require intermittent standing or prolonged sitting, and the ability to walk, reach, kneel, crouch and handle work related supplies and tools. Additional details related to physical requirements may be outlined in the Company's Performance Work Statement or Contract with the client.
