Job description

Do you have the career opportunities as a MRI Technologist you want with your current employer? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join Memorial Health University Medical Center which is part of the nation's leading provider of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare.

Job Summary and Qualifications Perform MRI exams in compliance with regulatory agencies and hospital policies and procedures.  
  • Display sound knowledge and proficiency in the use of MRI Imaging and accessory equipment. 


  • Perform MRI exams as per protocol on a variety of different body parts in a timely manner. 


  • Complete pre-exam screening. 


  • Greet patients and get them into the appropriate gowns. 


  • Complete appropriate history forms. 


  • Complete Technologist exam sheet. 


  • Stock rooms with required supplies. 


  • Complete consent forms when necessary. 


  • Check labs when necessary 


  • Perform data entry in Meditech using accurate times. 


  • Mark exam images as verified/dictated in PACS. 


  • Scan documents into PACS, attach to correct exam. 


  • Send exams from PACS or modality to the Amicus tele-rad system when necessary. 


  • Enter exam notes on exam in PACS. 


  • Verify orders inpatient’s chart. Follow physician written orders. 


  • Initial chart when exam is completed. 


  • Interact with Radiologists, PAs, other physicians and other colleagues. 


  • Start/Remove IVs when necessary. 


  • Safely administer contrast media with power injector. 


  • Transport patients to and from ER and other Imaging area when Assistant is unavailable. 


  • Move patients on and off the exam table. 


  • Organize and prioritize tasks for best work flow. 


  • Communicate effectively with customers (physicians, patients, colleagues, etc.) 

What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
  • (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (CNMT) Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist
