Job Title: Data Specialist

Reports To: IT & Data Operations Manager

Work Environment: Business Office

Travel: None Required


Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Data Specialist for Consolidated Admin Services is to support Consolidated Admin Services with accurate and timely processing of participants and client data. The Data Specialist supports Consolidated Admin Services with various customer service activities, administrative functions, and special projects. The Data Specialist is an integral part of Consolidated Admin Services providing superior service to our clients and participants.

Duties/Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential function of the job satisfactorily. This includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Processes Initial Notice files
  • Processes Qualified Beneficiary files
  • Processes enrollment files
  • Processes term files
  • Processes change files
  • Updates Salesforce and File Tracker on file processes
  • Retrieves files from Employee Navigator, files email, and SFTP locations when the Data Implementation Coordinator is unable to do so
  • Maintains organization of the file feeds share folder
  • Performs COBRA term audit
  • Works through discrepancies on Qualified Event and Initial Notice files
  • Assists with locating data to verify changes communicated which impact payroll reports
  • Processes open enrollment files and updates the Account Executive as well as the tracker
  • Assists with coding for ACA (Affordable Care Act) reporting
  • Audits completed files weekly
  • Follows appropriate escalation process
  • Assists other teammates and teams as needed
  • Other duties as assigned, including special projects


Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred
  • Three years of customer service experience preferred
  • Advanced experience with word processing, spreadsheets, data entry, e-mail management, and file management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Presents a professional image
  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others
  • Advanced knowledge of services provided
