Job Summary:
The Building People, LLC is seeking a Knowledge Manager / Base Operations Data Management Analyst to support the 81st U.S. Army Reserve Directorate of Public Works (DPW) in Columbia, South Carolina. This role focuses on facilities operations data, reporting, and knowledge management activities that enhance Army Reserve mission readiness and installation performance.
Responsibilities:
• Collect, clean, analyze, and interpret data from multiple operational systems and sources.
• Aggregate facilities and infrastructure data to identify trends, patterns, and operational insights.
• Develop metrics, dashboards, and recurring reports supporting DPW leadership decision-making.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports based on operational requirements.
• Analyze data to identify inconsistencies, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Review aggregated data for accuracy, integrity, and security.
• Validate data inputs from work order systems, invoices, and facilities documentation.
• Maintain and update operational datasets supporting DPW activities.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of all reported data.
• Support data governance practices to ensure compliance with Army standards and reporting requirements.
• Support data entry, validation, and reporting within the Facilities Engineering Management System (FEMS) and related CMMS platforms.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records of facility operations, work orders, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure proper tracking and documentation of facility-related activities within CMMS systems.
• Support troubleshooting of data issues within FEMS and coordinate resolution with appropriate stakeholders.
• Provide technical assistance to users entering, retrieving, or interpreting system data.
• Perform research and recommend solutions to improve data quality and system usability.
• Assist personnel with understanding reporting requirements and data entry standards.
• Support coordination between operations, maintenance, and engineering stakeholders to improve data flow.
• Develop and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports for leadership and operational use.
• Support creation of performance tracking tools and data summaries.
• Ensure timely delivery of reports in accordance with operational requirements.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in data management, data analysis, reporting, or related analytical fields.
• Experience collecting, aggregating, analyzing, and interpreting data from multiple sources.
• Experience reviewing and validating data for accuracy, integrity, and security.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Valid driver’s license.
Preferred:
• Experience supporting Department of Defense or federal facilities organizations.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), particularly FEMS or Maximo.
• Experience in data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence environments.
• Familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
• Experience supporting facilities management, public works, or infrastructure operations.
• Prior military or installation support experience.
