Job Description

As a Security Officer - Access Control in USA Parkway, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a high-tech data center location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help deter security-related incidents, manage access points, and provide professional customer service. You will use communication and technology skills to support a secure environment while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology data center by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the data center interior, exterior, perimeter, access points, and parking areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access control points, verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, and maintain awareness of visitor and contractor activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and coordinating with appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrol activities, incidents, access-related events, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License is required
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
