Job description

Position Title: Data and Order Entry Clerk

Department: Sales

Location: Fenton, MO

Reports To: Customer Service Manager

Classification: Hourly – Non-Exempt

Schedule:  Monday - Friday, 1st shift

Position Summary:

The Data and Order Entry Clerk receives purchase order information from our customers and enters this data into an order entry operating system. This position requires strong computer skills and extraordinary accuracy and attention to detail. This position operates in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Enter new customer orders.
  • Calculate customer lead times and ship dates.
  • Accurately enters new customer purchase orders and MRP order releases into the Company's Macola operating system.
  • Confirm orders to customers via email

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Data entry experience
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills and can accurately enter data
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with systems, purchase orders, or material control
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Very detail oriented and high level of accuracy
  • Has the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commitment to customer support and teamwork
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Desired Experience:

  • Inside sales experience
  • General ERP system experience (Macola a major plus)
