Job description

Documents

· Responsible for managing and organizing a vast number of electronic documents and program media files in the Enterprise Documentation Management System (EDMS) ensuring they are in compliance with company policies and ISO requirements.

· Assist engineering in the creation and editing of documents in MSWord format.

· Responsible for performing edits which include verifying the documents for typographical, grammatical errors and ensure proper formatting of documents before submitting for approval.

· Release documents in a timely manner.

· Assist in supporting audits.

· Support customer requests.

· Responsible for procedure reviews and facilitating procedure updates with process owners.

· Manages quality assurance standards in filing records and retrieves records as needed.



Drawings

· Responsible for the entry into the automated database for all new and revised drawings.

· Responsible for engineering release activities, coordinate with engineering organization to ensure drawings are released in a timely manner.

· Assign serial numbers to drawings owned by contract, contact NASA drawing center for NASA owned drawings and enter them into the database.

· Support the engineering drawing file maintenance, which includes data entry, cataloging, and creating reports and support for customer requests for drawing files.


Forms

· Assist with forms creation to ensure standards are met.

· Maintain a historical file of all revisions.

· Release in EDMS.




Requirements


Configuration Management


· Review and approve engineering drawing packages.

· Provide evaluations of proposed engineering changes (internally and externally) to configuration-controlled hardware.

· Track and maintain current and accurate records of engineering changes

· Determine incorporation schedules for minor and more complex engineering changes and inspections with input from logistics and engineering organizations.

· Approve work authorizing documents that impact hardware configuration


o Must be able to create spreadsheets and convert to trending metrics

· Support Flight Readiness Reviews for manifested hardware at Open Items Reviews.


Other Tasks


· Review GIDEP alert packages to determine/assess impacts and report usage and/or impacts to One EVA.

· Support/Facilitate monthly Risk meeting with owners and provide visibility to senior management

· Support/Facilitate monthly Continuous Process Improvement meeting with project owners and provide visibility to senior management


The candidate should have technical writing experience or with the educational requirements (BS in a related field).
