Averon is a joint venture between CVS Health and Cardinal Health with a vision of transforming the landscape of biosimilars and simplifying the channel for specialty products. Our mission is: together, we will lower the cost of specialty products for our customers.

Location: Fully remote

Position Summary

The Sr. Business Analyst plays a key role in supporting contracts, data validation, analytics, and performance insights across the organization. This role combines technical data analysis, auditing, reconciliation, and predictive analysis with the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable business recommendations. The position operates in a dynamic, collaborative, remote environment and requires advanced critical thinking, comfort working with complex datasets and data platforms, and a high degree of accuracy.

Responsibilities

Data Management

  • Perform data entry and system maintenance associated with contracts within Averon's internal custom applications and Microsoft Azure Data Platform.
  • Ensure daily data feeds are loaded and validated within Azure and Power BI.
  • Maintain Microsoft Azure Data Platform and Power BI dashboards.
  • Handle ad hoc data requests, advanced data analysis, and predictive modeling needs not covered by dashboards and other tools.
  • Document data sources, validation logic, and identification methodology.

Data Analysis and Trends

  • Partner with Averon subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify root causes, develop solutions, and drive desired results.
  • Perform routine reconciliations of data feeds from manufacturers, parent organizations, and wholesalers, including analysis of data variances for contract alignment.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot reconciliation issues and recommend steps for resolution.
  • Align data from multiple sources into standardized, usable formats.
  • Conduct predictive analysis, scenario modeling, and trend forecasting to identify risks, opportunities, marketplace shifts, and potential future business impacts using historical and current data.
  • Provide insights into marketplace trends, including new biosimilar launches and product availability.

Data Visualizations

  • Design, create, and maintain Power BI dashboards and Excel files with appropriate quality control measures.
  • Support the effective use of dashboards and visualizations to clearly convey information to the target audience.
  • Synthesize complex information into clear, digestible insights.
  • Communicate findings and insights through presentations and reports, primarily in PowerPoint.

Qualifications

  • Advanced SQL skills, required
  • Proficiency with Azure SQL Databases and Azure Data Lake, highly preferred
  • Targeting individuals with a degree in analytics, business, data science, finance or a related field; or, 10+ years of relevant work experience aligned with the responsibilities of the role.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Power BI, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and related tools, required
  • Ability to work with large, complex datasets and apply data modeling and statistical analysis techniques within business intelligence and data platform environments.
  • Proven ability to gather insights from multiple platforms and apply forecasting, predictive analysis, and data-driven recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify patterns, anomalies, and emerging trends, and translate findings into clear insights for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams.
  • Collaborative team player with clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a process-driven mindset.
