Job Title: CMMC Data Migration Specialist
Job Description
This temporary CMMC Data Migration Specialist role supports a time-sensitive compliance project focused on converting and transferring military technical routers into a new CMMC-compliant system. The specialist independently migrates a high volume of technical data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely completion of priority routers before the January 1, 2027 compliance deadline. This position is based onsite in Bloomfield, CT, operates on a standard Monday to Friday schedule, and requires strong attention to detail, technical documentation skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Review existing military technical routers and accurately transfer all relevant information into the new CMMC-compliant system.
- Follow established instructions, templates, and formatting requirements to ensure technical data is entered completely, consistently, and in accordance with project standards.
- Manage assigned priorities and workload independently to ensure critical and high-priority routers are completed within the required project timeline.
- Monitor progress against project milestones and adjust work plans to meet deadlines for time-sensitive compliance requirements.
- Identify missing, unclear, or inconsistent information in the source documentation and escalate questions to the appropriate internal team members for clarification.
- Maintain organized records of completed migrations, in-progress work, and outstanding issues to support project tracking and reporting.
- Learn and effectively use new computer systems, tools, and workflows required for data migration and documentation management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders in areas such as engineering, manufacturing, or document management to resolve data issues and ensure accurate migration.
- Apply strong data entry and quality-checking practices to minimize errors and ensure the integrity of migrated data.
- Adhere to all relevant procedures, export control regulations, and security requirements while handling military technical information.
Essential Skills
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow detailed written instructions and technical documentation.
- Ability to learn new computer systems quickly and adapt to new tools and processes.
- Ability to work independently with limited day-to-day supervision while managing assigned tasks and deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills to manage a high volume of technical data and documentation.
- Effective time-management and project-tracking skills to meet strict compliance timelines.
- Experience working in a data migration capacity, particularly with technical or structured data.
- Understanding of CMMC-related data handling or compliance concepts as they relate to data migration.
- Eligibility as a U.S. Person under applicable export control regulations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience working with ERP systems is preferred.
- Previous experience with document management systems is preferred.
- Background in manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, or aviation environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with handling military technical documentation or routers is an advantage.
- Experience working on time-sensitive compliance or regulatory projects is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills to effectively escalate questions and clarify technical data requirements.
- Six-month engagement provides an opportunity to gain focused experience in CMMC-related data migration.
Work Environment
The role is fully onsite in Bloomfield, CT, supporting a six-month engagement focused on a critical CMMC compliance initiative. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, for a 40-hour workweek (subject to final confirmation). The specialist works in a professional office environment using Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and other computer systems related to data migration, ERP, and document management. The position involves handling military technical routers and sensitive technical documentation in accordance with export control regulations, requiring careful adherence to established procedures and security practices. The work environment emphasizes accuracy, consistency, and independence, with limited day-to-day supervision and clear project deadlines to meet compliance requirements.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
