SUMMARY
Employee is responsible for assisting the Water Products Engineering team with various projects related to new supplier onboarding, current supplier quality monitoring, shipping, sales and customer support, as well as being responsible for setup and maintenance of tooling and manufacturing information in M3 system and beyond.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Promotes the culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. This includes adherence to and promotion of the company safety beliefs, employee engagement, competencies, code of conduct, and other policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for integrity and consistency of data entered into M3 and Salesforce.
  • Processing of NPR's, ECR's, Consumables, Material Certifications, and Salesforce Case requests
  • Support production when introducing new design features and or products.
  • Maintain third party certifying body records.
  • Aid in development and monitoring of job-related work instructions.
  • Assist in new supplier approval and onboarding.
  • Handle special shipping and receiving requests
  • Support Production and Quality teams when necessary.
  • New item creation for hydrants, valves, components, tooling, assemblies, kits, and resale/purchase item types.
  • Review technical drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Document and maintain Item Master setup parameters.
  • Interaction/communication with various individuals and departments across EJ (Product Development, Pattern Shop, Elmira Foundry, Ardmore Foundry, Muskegon Composites, Sales, Finance, Pricing, Sourcing, Marketing, etc.)
  • Collect and review item master data via effective communication with various departments
  • Assign finished good part numbers and manage part numbering system.
  • Ensuring all item and change requests comply with best practices.
  • Identify and resolve item master data issues.
  • Promotes safety awareness, accident prevention, and employee involvement with regard to a safe work environment. Ensures employees understand the safety expectations of the organization.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word

    • Firm grasp of engineering concepts, and some experience designing mechanical systems and products

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Familiarity with casting design is a plus

Language Skills:
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Effective verbal communication skills, particularly in group settings

Mathematical Skills:
  • Proficiency in calculating percentages and working with fractions
  • Strong foundational math skills

Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to follow and execute instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form

Computer Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, internet navigation, email, and the ability to learn department-specific software programs
