Overview
The Data Manager of Data Engineering will work in a hands-on and supportive role in our Technology and Data Department. This team processes and maintains all the data that flows into our organization, and is the face of PHM regarding data needs from HCP publishers.
You will work with internal and external partners, along with industry vendors, to monitor data transfers, perform data QA'ing and maintain documentation. You will also support the Vice President of Data engineering to enforce enterprise-wide data processes and protocols.
This is a hybrid role, requiring three days in-office each week. If you are contacted for an interview, your recruiter will discuss specifics with you, inclusive of any necessary reasonable accommodations. This job is open to candidates who are willing to work out of our Philadelphia, Chicago, or New York offices. You will report to the Director, Data Engineering.
Responsibilities
  • Lead portfolio of data projects across different clients in the agency
  • Work with different teams such as Media Tech, BI, Media, Strategy, Investments and Tech & Data
  • Use the agency warehouse and ETL solutions to oversee data transfers
  • Monetize data flow automation to retrieve, transform and load data
  • Data management responsibilities including ETL/data feed management and Metadata management
  • Review Process to ensure data stability, security, and compliance
  • Present issues, trends & recommendations to internal and external teams
  • Provide solutions for data needs and issue resolutions with the Data Engineering, Technology and Data and BI teams
  • Maintain best practices for handling, storing, and using data

Qualifications
  • BS Degree in one of the following subject areas; Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Experience tracking and resolving BI and database related incidents as well as requests
  • Experience with database structures, theories, principles, and practices
  • Experience with ETL and data warehouse principles
  • Technical documentation skills
  • Experience communicating complex updates and resolutions to partners in user-friendly language
  • Minimum 4 years SQL experience, 3 years of ETL experience, 3 years analyzing data sets
  • Minimum 4 years BI experience (Tableau, Datorama)
  • Excel (can perform complex functions) and data warehouse knowledge
  • Experience with large datasets
  • Experience with Web and Digital marketing data a plus
  • Tools:
    • SQL Server
    • BI Platforms - Tableau, Datorama (preferred)
    • Cloud Technologies - Databricks (preferred), AWS, Azure (preferred)

Compensation Range: USD $88,540.00 - USD $127,155.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met.
