Job Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Business Analytics professional to serve as the dedicated, end-to-end analytics owner for a specific business area - Product, Finance, Servicing Operations, Regulatory/Compliance, Fraud, or Marketing - within our Analytics & Insights team.

In this role, you will own the full analytics lifecycle, from building data pipelines and writing structured SQL queries in AWS Redshift, to developing compelling Tableau dashboards and automated reports that surface key insights for our BaaS partners. You'll translate complex business questions into clear, actionable analytical frameworks, delivering findings in a way that resonates with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. As you build deep subject-matter expertise in your assigned business area's data and metrics, you'll become the team's trusted go-to resource, proactively identifying analytical opportunities and data gaps while driving solutions independently.

Success in this role requires strong cross-functional partnership across revenue, product, operations, and engineering teams, a commitment to data quality through rigorous documentation and QA, and personal accountability to delivery timelines and stakeholder commitments - all in service of turning data into a strategic advantage for Green Dot's partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the dedicated end-to-end analytics owner for the partner's specific business area (Product, Finance, Servicing Operations, Regulatory/Compliance, Fraud, or Marketing).

  • Manage the full analytics lifecycle: data pipeline development, reporting, dashboard creation, and in-depth analyses that drive business decisions.

  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative datasets to generate actionable recommendations for cross-functional teams.

  • Write structured, efficient SQL queries against large datasets in AWS Redshift to support analysis and reporting needs.

  • Develop clear, compelling Tableau dashboards and automated reports surfacing key insights on BaaS partners and Apple Cash products.

  • Translate complex business questions into clear analytical frameworks; deliver findings in a format accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Develop in-depth expertise in your assigned business area's data, metrics, and stakeholder needs, becoming the team's go-to subject matter expert.

  • Ensure data quality through documentation, QA, and ongoing monitoring of delivered outputs.

  • Proactively identify analytical opportunities and data gaps within your business area and drive solutions independently.

  • Develop strong cross-functional partnerships across revenue, product, operations, and engineering teams.

  • Hold oneself accountable to contribution goals, delivery timelines, and stakeholder commitments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline

  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics, financial services, or consulting; hands-on experience delivering insights to business stakeholders

  • Advanced SQL proficiency required - must demonstrate ability to write complex, optimized queries on large datasets independently and without guidance

  • Tableau development required - must have a portfolio or demonstrated experience building, iterating, and maintaining production-grade dashboards and data visualizations

  • Proven ability to take ambiguous, non-technical business questions and independently translate them into clear, actionable data visualizations and insights

  • Strong client-facing communication skills - comfortable leading conversations with both technical and executive audiences, asking the right clarifying questions, and managing expectations

  • Demonstrated experience owning end-to-end analytics workstreams with minimal oversight

  • Able to move fluidly between granular data work and high-level storytelling - distilling complex findings into concise, executive-ready narratives

  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders; uses candid, constructive dialogue to influence decisions without formal authority

  • Highly organized and self-directed; able to manage and prioritize competing requests across multiple stakeholders simultaneously

**Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship**
**Ability to meet the location requirement outlined above**
