Responsibilities

Sabre Systems is currently recruiting for a Systems Engineer (Journeyman) to support the Combat Survivability Division at NAS Patuxent River in Lexington Park, MD.  This position will support Low Observables (LO) Life Cycle Management (LCM). This is an in-person on-site position at NAS Patuxent River and not eligible for telework. 

The selected candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Effectively and efficiently operate and communicate across multi-level security environments.
  • Summarizing data, observations, and findings to support the preparation of technical documents, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Gather, analyze, document, and manage technical and performance requirements from all relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Review life cycle management documentation for LO systems, ensuring supportability from design through disposal.
  • Identify, assess, and document, technical, programmatic, and LO readiness and sustainment risks for applicable programs.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, program offices, contractors, and external agencies.
  • Prepare clear, concise, technical documents, including gap analyses, business case analyses, plans, and regular status reports/briefings.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of integrated master plans and schedules, tracking milestones and deliverables.
  • Analyze readiness, sustainment, and cost data to support investment recommendations and inform decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in LO sustainment and support the implementation of best practices.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must hold an accredited BS degree in systems engineering, aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or a closely related discipline.
  • Systems Engineering experience supporting multi-level security projects.
  • Experience in systems engineering within a defense, aerospace, or complex technical environment.
  • Familiarity with the systems engineering life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, integration, verification, and validation.
  • Ability to elicit, analyze, document, and manage requirements from diverse stakeholders.
  • Experiencce identifying, assessing, and mitigating technical and programmatic risks.
  • Proficiency in preparing technical documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Must have three (3) years of recent and relevant experience
  • Minimum Security Clearance Requirements: Active TS with SAP eligibility
  • Desired Security Clearance Requirements: Active TS with SAP eligibility and SCI Eligibility
  • Optimal Security Clearance Requirements: Active TS with SAP eligibility, existing C-Net access, and SCI Access Indoctrination
  • Anticipated Travel requirements are 20%. 
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Desired Qualifications (minimum qualifications, plus the following);

  • Direct experience supporting the design and/or sustainment of low observable air vehicles.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives and drive organizational change.
  • Advance degree in systems engineering or related discipline.
  • Familiarity with digital engineering and MBSE tools and methodologies (e.g. SysML, Cameo).
  • Proficiency in data analytics, business case analysis, and decision support tools.
  • Experience supporting project planning, scheduling, and tracking progress.

Compensation Statement
At Sabre Systems, LLC, compensation is based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific requirements; however, final compensation will be determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms. The general salary range for this position is as follows: $130,577.00 - $144,991.00
