Job description

Collectors is the leading creator of innovative technology that provides value-added services for collectors worldwide. We grade, authenticate, vault, and sell millions of record-setting collectibles, all while modernizing and digitalizing the process to further our mission of helping collectors pursue their passions. We're always on the lookout for talented people to join our growing team.
Our services span collectible trading cards, autographs, comic books, coins, video games, event tickets, and memorabilia. Our subsidiaries include PSA, PCGS, Beckett, SGC, and Card Ladder.
Since our founding in 1986, we have graded and authenticated millions of items. We employ more than 3000 people across our headquarters in Santa Ana, California and offices in New Jersey, Texas, Florida, Japan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Canada, Mexico, Germany, and France.
As part of our interview process, we request that candidates have their cameras on during video interviews. This helps foster meaningful conversation and allows us to create an experience that closely resembles our standard working environment. Certain interview steps may take place by phone. For remote roles, and at our discretion, candidates may be asked to participate in an on-site interview as part of the final stages of the process.
We understand there may be occasional circumstances requiring accommodation and are happy to discuss them as needed. Your recruiter will be able to clarify expectations and answer any questions you have.
We're looking for a Data API & Licensing Analyst to support Collectors' growing Data API program, now led by the Head of Corporate Development and Strategy. This role will manage the operational and contractual side of our data licensing business-reviewing partner agreements, ensuring compliance with our Data License Agreement, and serving as the primary contact for API partners and licensing inquiries.
The Data API & Licensing Analyst will play a key role in protecting Collectors' data assets while enabling legitimate partners to build on our platform. They will work across Legal, Engineering, and Business Development to keep the licensing program running smoothly as it scales. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable with contractual language, and eager to develop expertise in data licensing and the collectibles industry.
You'll report to the Head of Corporate Development and Strategy and work from our Santa Ana, CA office. Remote or hybrid candidates will also be considered. We believe that there is significant value in in-person collaboration. If you live within a 1 hour commuting distance to one of our offices, you will be required to be onsite most of the time. This will be discussed further as part of the recruiting process.
What You'll Do:
Licensing & Contract Review
  • Review inbound API partner applications and assess compliance with Collectors' Data License Agreement terms
  • Manage the full lifecycle of data licensing agreements, including renewals, amendments, and terminations
  • Monitor partner usage patterns to identify potential violations of data license restrictions and prepare findings for review
  • Assist in developing and refining standard contract templates, onboarding materials, and licensing FAQs

Partner Operations
  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for API partners, responding to licensing inquiries and escalating complex issues
  • Support the onboarding of new API customers, including documentation review and account setup coordination
  • Lead cross-functional issue resolution with internal teams including Legal, Engineering, and Business Development
  • Maintain accurate records of all active agreements, partner accounts, and licensing statuses in internal systems

Program Support
  • Help establish scalable processes and systems for tracking partner activity, contract status, and licensing compliance
  • Synthesize partner feedback and surface trends or risks to the Head of Corporate Development and Strategy and other stakeholders
  • Track industry developments in data licensing and competitive intelligence relevant to the collectibles market

Who You Are:
  • 1-3 years of experience in licensing, contracts, business operations, data partnerships, or legal support
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting contractual and legal language
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills
  • Clear written and verbal communicator; able to correspond professionally with external partners
  • Proficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office; experience with CRM or contract management tools a plus
  • Curious about data products, APIs, and the collectibles industry-no prior technical background required
  • A self-starter who can manage multiple workstreams and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred

Physical Requirements:
  • Computer Use: Typing, mouse work, and sitting and looking at a computer potentially for long periods of time.

  • Sitting or Standing: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $69,820 - $113,355.
