Network Connectivity Department

The Network Connectivity team is responsible for enabling scalable, reliable and carrier-neutral connectivity across Vantage's North American campuses. The team supports customer growth, carrier engagement, Meet-Me-Room (MMR) operations, interconnection services and the governance required to support high-performance network connectivity solutions.

Position Description

This role can be based in any of our QC locations: Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Pointe-Claire, Saint-Laurent, or Quebec, QC, in alignment with our flexible work policy (3 days on-site required, 2 days flexible).

The Carrier Relationship Manager is responsible for the strategic management, growth, governance and commercialization of Vantage's telecommunications carrier ecosystem across North America.

This role serves as the primary business liaison between Vantage Data Centers, telecommunications providers, Legal, Lease Management, Operations, Sales, Enterprise Customer Experience and Network Connectivity leadership.

The successful candidate will own the end-to-end lifecycle of carrier relationships, carrier access agreements, carrier service agreements, MMR occupancy agreements and other commercial arrangements supporting carrier deployment and operations within Vantage facilities.

In addition, this position is responsible for managing the North America MMR revenue funnel, supporting revenue growth initiatives, tracking carrier-related business opportunities and executing annual objectives established by Network Connectivity leadership.

Responsibilities

Carrier Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary business contact for telecommunications carriers operating within Vantage Data Centers across North America.

  • Develop and maintain executive and operational relationships with carrier sales, engineering, deployment, real estate, and leadership teams.

  • Conduct regular business reviews with strategic carrier partners.

  • Drive carrier engagement, satisfaction, and retention initiatives.

  • Act as the primary escalation point for business-related carrier issues.

  • Promote consistency and transparency across all carrier interactions.

  • Support strategic initiatives that strengthen Vantage's carrier-neutral platform.

Contract and Agreement Management

  • Own the commercial management of Carrier Access Agreements (CAA), Carrier Service Agreements (CSA), MMR occupancy agreements, licensing agreements, and related carrier contracts.

  • Coordinate contract negotiations between carriers and Vantage stakeholders.

  • Manage contract execution, amendments, renewals, expirations, and compliance obligations.

  • Ensure all required exhibits, technical documentation, insurance certificates, and supporting information are completed prior to legal review.

  • Maintain contract status reporting and governance processes.

  • Establish and maintain centralized carrier contract repositories and tracking systems.

Legal & Internal Stakeholder Coordination

  • Serve as the primary liaison between telecommunications carriers and Vantage Legal.

  • Coordinate contract reviews, redlines, negotiations, approvals, and execution activities.

  • Facilitate timely resolution of contractual issues while balancing commercial and legal requirements.

  • Partner with Lease Management, Legal, Operations, Construction, Finance, Security, and Sales teams to streamline carrier onboarding and agreement execution.

  • Support development and continuous improvement of carrier governance policies and procedures.

MMR Revenue Funnel and Business Development

  • Own the North America MMR and Carrier revenue funnel.

  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of carrier-related revenue opportunities.

  • Identify opportunities to increase MMR occupancy, carrier cabinet deployments, licensing revenue, and interconnection services revenue.

  • Partner with Enterprise Customer Experience, Sales, Connectivity, and Operations teams to capture new revenue opportunities.

  • Support pricing and commercial strategy development for carrier-related products and services.

  • Maintain accurate forecasting and reporting for all carrier-related opportunities.

  • Develop strategic account plans for key carrier partners.

  • Support business development initiatives that increase carrier density and customer connectivity options across Vantage campuses.

Strategic Carrier Expansion

  • Identify, recruit, and onboard new carrier partners into the Vantage ecosystem.

  • Develop strategies to improve carrier diversity across campuses.

  • Partner with Connectivity and Solution Architecture teams to support customer network requirements.

  • Support market expansion initiatives by ensuring carrier readiness in new campuses and developments.

  • Promote Vantage's value proposition to carrier partners through industry engagement and relationship development.

MMR Governance and Operational Alignment

  • Collaborate with Interconnection & MMR Managers and Connectivity teams to support carrier deployments.

  • Maintain visibility of carrier inventory, cabinet occupancy, power allocations, and carrier footprints.

  • Support standardization of North America carrier onboarding and deployment processes.

  • Ensure carrier activities align with operational, security, and compliance requirements.

  • Participate in planning activities related to MMR growth, capacity, and carrier expansion.

Performance Management and Reporting

  • Execute annual business objectives established by the Senior Director, Enterprise Customer Experience & Network Connectivity, North America.

  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards and key performance indicators.

  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting on carrier ecosystem performance.

  • Deliver executive presentations and business reviews to leadership.

  • Support strategic planning and budgeting activities.

  • Identify operational, commercial, and contractual risks and develop mitigation plans.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Telecommunications, Engineering, Legal Studies, Real Estate, or related discipline.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in telecommunications, carrier management, vendor management, business development, data center operations, or related industries.

  • Experience managing commercial agreements and business relationships.

  • Strong understanding of telecommunications carriers, fiber infrastructure, colocation environments, and interconnection services.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Strong contract negotiation and project management abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent bilingualism (French/English)

Preferred

  • Experience within the data center, colocation, fiber, cloud, or telecommunications industries.

  • Experience working with Legal, Real Estate, Lease Management, or Procurement organizations.

  • Knowledge of MMR operations, carrier deployments, and interconnection ecosystems.

  • Experience using contract lifecycle management tools such as Ironclad or similar platforms.

  • Understanding of dark fiber, wavelength services, IP transit, transport services, and carrier-neutral facilities.

Work Environment

  • Travel may be required across North American campuses and carrier locations based on business needs.

  • The role requires strong cross-functional coordination with Legal, Lease Management, Operations, Sales, Enterprise Customer Experience and Connectivity teams.
