About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI Developerto join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and developing business intelligence (BI) solutions, primarily using the Power BI platform. You will work with cross-functional teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and create visually compelling reports and dashboards that drive insights for business decisions. This is an opportunity to utilize your expertise in data analysis, warehousing, and visualization to impact key business areas, including financial markets, geospatial data, and enterprise-level reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for various business units, including equity, fixed income, and derivative product tracking.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design end-to-end BI solutions, including data models, ETL processes, and advanced DAX calculations.
  • Architect and configure data security, user access, and report sharing across multiple business groups.
  • Lead daily standup meetings and support project tracking, documentation, and report migrations from development to production environments.
  • Create geospatial reports, KPIs, and performance testing dashboards using Power BI’s mapping and data visualization capabilities.
  • Develop Paginated Reports with Power BI Report Builder and optimize existing reports to enhance performance and responsiveness.
  • Leverage SQL, PL/SQL, and SSIS for data extraction, transformation, and loading into the reporting database.
  • Perform advanced analysis on data from Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and other data sources for attribution modeling and segmentation.
  • Train and mentor new team members on Power BI development and best practices.
  • Support geospatial data visualization and integration for financial, utility, and GIS projects.
  • Document development processes, data sources, and custom transformations for knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in IT with a strong focus on Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, and Database Applications.
  • Expertise in Power BIand other Power Platform tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate, and DAX.
  • Proven experience with SDLCphases, including systems analysis, development, and implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and ETL processes(SSIS) to transform and visualize complex data sets.
  • Advanced knowledge of data modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema), data visualization, and data transformationtechniques.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server, Power Query, Power Pivot, and T-SQL.
  • Experience working in Agile Scrumand Waterfallmethodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in managing report deployments, access, and maintenance across development and production environments.
  • Familiarity with Azure, PBRS, and Microsoft technology stack(Office365, SQL Server, SharePoint).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with geospatial datareporting and integration using Power BI.
  • Familiarity with DAXand advanced data modelingfor predictive analytics and statistical forecasting.
