The Home Energy Solutions Specialist is responsible for analyzing consumer needs, negotiating and closing deals, meeting sales targets, gathering feedback, educating customers, answering detailed questions about Generac products, and maintaining department expectations. The primary goal of this role is to drive sales of energy solutions and provide excellent customer service to both potential and current customers

Essential Duties:

  • Analyze Consumer Needs: Understand consumer requirements and recommend suitable energy solutions to meet their needs.

  • Sales and Negotiation: Negotiate and close deals, handle complaints or objections efficiently to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Meet Sales Targets: Regularly achieve sales targets as set by management, demonstrating consistent performance.

  • Consumer Feedback: Gather and analyze feedback from consumers, sharing insights with internal teams to improve products and services.

  • Outbound Calls: Conduct daily outbound calls using predictive or preview mode, aiming to enhance the organization's close rate.

  • Customer Education: Educate customers on the growing home energy industry using a consultative approach to provide informed and valuable recommendations.

  • Department Expectations: Maintain departmental standards, including customer satisfaction, productivity, and adherence to company policies.

  • Product Knowledge: Answer detailed questions regarding Generac products, showcasing expertise and knowledge.

  • Inbound Queries: Respond to inbound pre-sale questions over the phone, providing accurate and helpful information.

  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Requirements:

  • Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience

  • 1 year related experience within Sales, Retail, Marketing

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Ability to understand consumer needs and provide appropriate solutions.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle objections effectively.

  • Ability to Interpret Data, Analyze Results and Make Recommendations

  • Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders, including consumers, dealers, and contractors

  • Ability to meet sales targets and work in a goal-oriented environment.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Office Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionallylift upto 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
