Job description

Job Summary :

DT Professional Services is seeking an entry-level Data Collection Technician to support our NSWC team in Norco, CA! This position will perform  work that includes the collection, reproduction, handling, distribution and archival of mission data and documentation. The individual will interface with a variety of personnel at all levels and across various government agencies to manage the timely receipt of mission related data products. Will receive, verify, and reproduce test event data items per the established plans. 

Travel (35 %) is required to provide installation and removal of equipment both on ship and other locations. There is possible overtime required both during travel and on site to support data management for work groups, meetings, and test event execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform work that includes the collection, reproduction, handling, distribution and archival of mission data and documentation.

  • Will interface with a variety of personnel at all levels and across various departments

  • Will manage the timely receipt of mission related data products

  • Demonstrate the ability to receive, verify, and reproduce test event data items per the established plans.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (or the ability to reinstate if active within the past 24 months).

  • High School Diploma.

  • One or more years’ experience in a data management capacity within a data processing work environment.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Office products, database entry and computers.

  • Experience creating and executing data handling plans.

  • Highly organized with an eye for detail.

  • Ability to quickly learn technical information.

  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • Customer service skills are essential.

  • Problem solving skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and quickly react to changes in priorities and timelines.

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented collaborative environment.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.

  • Demonstrate the ability to follow instructions

  • Occasional travel (35%) is required to provide on-site data management support for work groups, meetings and test event execution

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of U.S Navy shipboard protocol.

  • Operating System – Windows

The compensation range for this position: $28.00/hour
