Data Center Technician

Are you passionate about technology, hands-on problem solving, and working behind the scenes of one of the largest cloud platforms in the world? Our client is seeking motivated Data Center Technicians to help support critical infrastructure that powers millions of users globally. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, cutting-edge data center environment where you'll gain exposure to enterprise networking, hardware deployment, troubleshooting, and large-scale infrastructure projects.


What You'll Do

As a Data Center Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting infrastructure deployments and ensuring our client's data center operations run efficiently and reliably.

Installation & Deployment
  • Upgrade and install RNG devices within a data center environment.
  • Prepare, stage, configure, install, and decommission hardware including servers, switches, racks, and storage devices.
  • Perform startup and shutdown procedures using established checklists, deployment guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support technology refresh projects, including memory upgrades and operating system rebuilds.
Network Connectivity & Infrastructure
  • Collaborate closely with Network Engineers to validate Layer 1 connectivity and provision switches and routers.
  • Verify network ports, cabling, and device connections to ensure proper functionality.
  • Perform post-deployment quality checks to ensure grounding, labeling, staging, and cabling meet clients standards and safety requirements.
Troubleshooting & Break/Fix Support
  • Diagnose hardware and connectivity issues using established troubleshooting procedures.
  • Perform break/fix activities by identifying root causes and replacing defective server and networking components.
  • Escalate incidents and technical issues appropriately while following operational procedures.
Operational Excellence & Safety
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and equipment checks to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure all work is completed according to deployment standards, safety protocols, and network design requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and provide regular project and status updates to Microsoft stakeholders.

Pay and Benefits
