Overview:
We are seeking a motivated, entry-level Data Center Technician (Level 1) to join a growing team. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in physically demanding environments who are eager to learn and develop within the telecom and data center industry. No prior telecom experience is required-training will be provided for candidates with the right attitude, work ethic, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Pull, route, and secure cabling throughout a data center environment.
  • Scan, label, and document equipment using a computer system.
  • Support installation and build-out tasks under the guidance of experienced technicians.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols.

Required Qualifications:
  • Experience working in physically demanding environments (construction, trades, military, or similar).
  • Comfortable working on ladders and/or lifts for extended periods (10-hour shifts).
  • Strong work ethic and a consistently positive attitude.
  • Reliable attendance history and dependability.
  • Ability to work overtime, including occasional mandatory overtime.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with Cat5 cabling.
  • Basic electrical knowledge or hands-on electrical experience.
  • Military experience or similar disciplined work environment.

Work Schedule & Environment:
  • Work performed primarily in data center environments.
  • Typical construction team schedule:
    • Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
    • Saturday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
    • Up to 58 hours per week.
  • Alternative schedule (production team):
    • Four 10-hour shifts (4x10s) with optional overtime.
  • Overtime is required as needed
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Summerville, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
