It's a great opportunity for someone who takes genuine pride in clean work, follows instructions carefully, and understands that cleanliness is a critical part of reliability.

Here is what the role looks like:
As a Facility Maintenance Technician at GTA Data Centers, you'll be responsible for keeping our controlled spaces clean, safe, and audit-ready. Your work directly protects equipment, prevents contamination, and ensures smooth operations. Other job duties include:

  • Clean floors, aisles, walkways, cages, cabinets, doors, ledges, entry mats, and approved surfaces according to site procedures.
  • Remove trash, packaging, debris, dust accumulation, and loose materials from controlled spaces without disturbing equipment.
  • Use data center-approved cleaning tools, supplies, and methods that protect equipment, labels, power connections, cabling, airflow, and sensors.
  • Follow access, escort, safety, ESD, PPE, and controlled-space rules at all times.
  • Avoid disturbing customer equipment, cabling, power connections, labels, sensors, facility controls, or restricted systems.
  • Support battery room, electrical room, and generator room cleaning only under approved safety restrictions and site direction.
  • Report blocked access, obstructed egress, misplaced materials, housekeeping risks, contamination, spills, dust events, leaks, residues, or unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Coordinate cleaning schedules with Director of Technical Operations, Facility Engineer, Physical Security, and affected technical owners.
  • Maintain cleaning logs, completed-area records, exception notes, and supply usage records.
  • Support audit readiness by keeping cleaning evidence organized and retrievable.
  • Support post-maintenance, post-install, post-construction, expansion, or incident-response cleanup after vendor or project work.
  • Coordinate with Documentation and Assets or Deployment before removing packaging or materials tied to asset records.
  • Maintain separation between approved cleaning duties and technical work that requires qualified technicians.
  • Performs other related duties and special projects assigned to support evolving business priorities

Candidates must show:

  • Strong attention to detail, pride in clean work, and ability to follow site-specific cleaning rules in controlled spaces.
  • Ability to work carefully around sensitive equipment, customer areas, restricted spaces, labels, cabling, and power connections.
  • Reliable attendance, communication, and willingness to document completed work and exceptions.
  • Ability to recognize and report spills, dust, leaks, obstructions, unsafe conditions, or damaged surfaces.
  • Prior janitorial, industrial cleaning, hospitality, facilities, construction cleanup, or data center cleaning experience is helpful but not required.

Here's what you need to have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior cleaning, housekeeping, janitorial, facilities, warehouse, construction cleanup, or controlled-environment experience preferred. Data center experience is not required; training will be provided.
  • Ability to safely use approved cleaning tools, supplies, carts, vacuums, wipes, mops, PPE, and site-approved cleaning materials.
  • Basic ability to complete checklists, logs, notes, and supply records.
  • Safety, housekeeping, lift, CPR/first aid, or ESD training is helpful but not required at hire.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel between various locations
  • Must be able to pass required background checks and follow data center security, safety, and access-control policies.
