Project Manager – Data Center Construction

Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $180K-$240K, depending on data center experience
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Additional Compensation: Relocation assistance and retention bonuses

Innovar Group is recruiting experienced Project Managers to lead major scopes of work on large-scale hyperscale data center construction projects in Oklahoma City.

The Project Manager will oversee project execution, financial performance, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, procurement, risk management, and communication with project stakeholders. This position requires someone who understands the pace, complexity, and accountability associated with major technology data center campuses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage assigned construction scopes from preconstruction through turnover and closeout.

  • Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, schedules, and execution plans.

  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field leadership, design teams, and owner representatives.

  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement activities, and contract requirements.

  • Review cost reports and identify financial, schedule, procurement, and operational risks.

  • Lead project meetings and communicate progress, challenges, and corrective actions.

  • Ensure work complies with project specifications, quality requirements, and safety standards.

  • Partner with superintendents to align field execution with project milestones.

  • Support equipment installation, system testing, commissioning, and final turnover.

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams.

Required Qualifications
  • Previous construction experience on a large-scale hyperscale data center campus for a Magnificent 7 technology company is required.

  • 5+ years of construction project management experience.

  • Direct responsibility for managing a significant scope of work on a major hyperscale data center build.

  • Strong knowledge of project controls, cost forecasting, scheduling, procurement, and change management.

  • Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating complex mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, or general construction scopes.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional project teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience managing projects from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover.

  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar systems.
