About this role

As a Data Center Service Manager with Carrier, you become the trusted face of a global leader in HVAC and missioncritical cooling solutions. In this peoplefocused leadership role, you'll build strong relationships with data center customers and the support field teams, and partner closely with Carrier's Integrated Project Management Team. Your work will directly contribute to seamless startup, commissioning, and warranty support of industrial HVAC systems ensuring reliability, uptime, and customer confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary customer-facing representative, embodying and promoting the Carrier brand.
  • Lead the hiring process for the local Data Center technicians, ensuring theselectionof qualified candidates.
  • Oversee onboarding of new technicians, including safety orientation, training procedures, and provisioning of devices and equipment.
  • Serve as the union liaison,facilitatingcommunication andmaintainingpositive relations between Carrier and union representatives.
  • Conduct job site safety inspections and organize quarterly safety meetings to reinforce safety culture.
  • Interact regularly with the master scheduler to ensure technician staffing needs are accurately met for local customer needs.
  • Manage requests for tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), vehicles, and uniforms for field teams.
  • Maintain responsibility for fleet management, ensuring vehicles are properly assigned,maintained, and available.
  • Approve daily timesheets and travel requests for Data Center technicians.
  • Oversee operations and support field teams.
  • Forecast, monitor, and document financial performance againstplan
  • Coordinate,prioritizeand resolve issuesencounteredby the team.
  • Optimizethe usage ofmanpower, standard time,equipmentand energy to complete openwork
  • Escalate critical/complex issues that willimpactthebusiness
  • Manage the team according to established programs andobjectives
  • Implement, monitor, manage the quality ofwork
  • Respond to key customer complaints, carry out customer satisfactioninvestigationsand ensure establishment ofappropriate improvementplans

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 5+ years' experience in commercial HVAC and/or mechanical service operations, industrial equipment service, or other field service, environments involving maintenance, repair, and technical service delivery
  • 3+years' experiencemanagingand or trainingfield service teams, including union technicians, with a focus on performance andefficiency.

  • Strong financial acumen: cost forecasting, margin attainment, and change order management.

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $96,000.00 - $192,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

Other Compensation

Thisposition is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
