Key Accountabilities
  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of data center facilities.
  • Provide leadership, management, and development ensuring operational commitments are met and exceeded.
  • Support SFCFS teams and other stakeholders in the delivery of all services within the scope of the role, and provide shoulder to shoulder technical service input as required in order to enhance the credibility of the company
  • Safety of all SFCFS personnel and equipment onsite.
  • Ownership of MEP operations across Serverfarm Data Center.
  • Ensure that all MEP plant and distribution infrastructure is operated and maintained in a safe manner, to best industry practice and within manufacturers recommendations.
  • Work with the Construction & Project team to ensure Serverfarm Data Center's site meets all required statutory and mandatory requirements.
  • Ensure all site MEP infrastructure operates within defined capacity standards.
  • Ensure all activities on site are carried out in accordance with Serverfarm Company Policies and Guidelines.

Required Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data center operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Experience in maintaining all relevant mechanical and electrical equipment to clearly defined criteria
  • An understanding of the Data Center environment, and the working restrictions applicable to such environments
  • Familiar with the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under pressure, with changing, and often conflicting, priorities to meet deadlines

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
