Job description

Job Overview:
Join the Data Center team within the Cloud Engineering Platforms organization, where you will design, deploy, maintain, and optimize the physical and logical infrastructure within data centers. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of data center infrastructure while adhering to security and compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor servers, network, power, and cooling systems using DCIM tools.
  • Support application or infrastructure rollouts requiring data center changes.
  • Monitor space, power, and cooling thresholds.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors for RMAs, installations, and support.
  • Perform rack and stack, cable management, and hardware replacements.
  • Coordinate with network teams to troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Create and maintain elevation for data centers using Sunbird DCIM tooling.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems, CIS/MIS, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
    • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable hands-on IT work experience supporting and resolving diverse data center issues.
    • Willingness to travel and work varying shifts, including days, nights, or weekends.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems, CIS/MIS, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
    • 5 years of experience working with external vendors, negotiating services, and monitoring delivery of those services.
    • Experience in the airline industry, including business processes and supporting technology.
  • Skills, Licenses, and Certifications:
    • Server installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance (e.g., Dell, HPE, Cisco UCS).
    • Rack and stack procedures.
    • Cabling (fiber, copper) and labeling standards.
    • UPS, PDUs, and CRAC units.
    • Proficiency with DCIM tools (Data Center Infrastructure Management).
