Job Type: Contract (6 Months)(High possibility of extensions)

Pay: $30+/hour (depending on experience)

Schedule: Full-Time, On-Site

Travel: Up to 75% Nationwide Travel Required

Overview

We are seeking experienced L2 Data Center Technicians to join a specialized Rapid Response Team supporting large-scale data center infrastructure projects across the United States. This role is ideal for technicians who thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy travel, and have strong experience with data center cabling, troubleshooting, and infrastructure deployments.

As part of this team, you will be among the first technicians deployed to new project locations, helping establish processes, procedures, and execution standards before transitioning projects to larger implementation teams.

Responsibilities
  • Perform installation, replacement, and migration of structured cabling systems within data center environments.
  • Pull, route, terminate, label, and test fiber optic and coaxial cabling.
  • Troubleshoot physical layer connectivity issues and resolve cabling-related incidents.
  • Support data center infrastructure upgrades and modernization initiatives.
  • Install, rack, and decommission equipment as required.
  • Document work completed and maintain accurate records of installations and changes.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and established procedures.
  • Travel to data center locations nationwide to assist with project launches and critical deployments.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and local site teams to ensure successful project execution.
Required Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Data Center Technician, Data Center Engineer, Facilities Technician, or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience pulling and terminating cable in data center environments.
  • Experience working with fiber optic and coaxial cabling.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working in active data center environments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the United States (approximately 75%).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with structured cabling systems.
  • Equipment racking and de-racking experience.
  • Cable replacement and migration project experience.
  • Experience supporting large-scale data center deployments or infrastructure upgrades.
