Job Description

As a key member of the Design Management team, you will assist in the planning, review, and coordination of design activities with consultants, internal stakeholders, and external development partners. Your role will focus on ensuring that design packages meet OCIโ€™s program standards, support operational efficiency, and are aligned with project goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge infrastructure that supports hyperscale and AI workloads around the world.

Job Summary:
In this role, you will manage assigned portions of the design process for both new builds and retrofit projects. Youโ€™ll support the delivery of design documentation, provide technical coordination, and assist with early-stage due diligence. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge in MEP systems, the ability to manage multiple design packages simultaneously, and a passion for delivering best-in-class data center infrastructure.

You will work under the direction of senior team members and collaborate closely with OCIโ€™s engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure project success.

50% Travel is required for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Support the full lifecycle of design activities for data center projects, including planning, consultant coordination, and design review
  • Assist with the development and tracking of project design schedules and deliverables
  • Review consultant design packages (SD, DD, IFC) for alignment with OCI standards and technical requirements
  • Coordinate with internal teams including construction, operations, and network infrastructure
  • Support technical due diligence for lease and greenfield opportunities
  • Identify design risks, elevate issues, and help drive resolution in coordination with senior design leads
  • Provide QA/QC on design submissions and support compliance with Oracleโ€™s documentation standards
  • Participate in internal design reviews and cross-functional design workshops
  • Help maintain internal design templates, standards, and technical documentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in architecture, Engineering, or related technical discipline; PE or RA license is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience supporting design for data centers or mission-critical facilities
  • Working knowledge of MEP systems and infrastructure planning for large-scale technical buildings
  • Familiarity with design documentation phases (BOD, SD, DD, IFC) and permitting processes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and coordination abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and CAD or BIM platforms (e.g., Revit)
  • Understanding of applicable codes, industry standards (ASHRAE, Uptime), and design best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with colocation providers or on developer-led data center projects
  • Exposure to international projects or hyperscale cloud infrastructure requirements
  • Familiarity with BIM coordination workflows and design management tools (e.g., ACC, Newforma)
  • LEED accreditation or familiarity with sustainable design practices

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $114,600 to $234,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
