Data Center Deployment Manager - NAO

Location: New Albany, Ohio (Onsite)

Role OverviewAn experienced Data Center Deployment Lead is sought to oversee large-scale hyperscale data center deployment operations. This role provides operational leadership for a large technician workforce supporting server deployments, network infrastructure installations, structured cabling, hardware break/fix activities, asset management, and customer support activities within a mission-critical environment. The Deployment Lead serves as the primary operational interface and is responsible for ensuring staffing readiness, execution quality, productivity, safety compliance, and operational performance.

Leadership & Workforce Oversight
  • Provide operational leadership for a large population of Data Center Technicians supporting deployment and operational activities.
  • Partner with recruiting, workforce planning, training, logistics, and delivery teams to ensure staffing levels meet customer demand.
  • Drive technician onboarding, workforce readiness, training compliance, and skills development programs.
  • Establish and maintain a culture of safety, accountability, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Support workforce growth initiatives and large-scale mobilization efforts as deployment volumes increase.
  • Collaborate with leadership to proactively address operational risks, staffing challenges, and service delivery concerns.
Operational Leadership
  • Lead day-to-day deployment operations supporting server, storage, and network infrastructure installations.
  • Ensure successful execution of rack-and-stack, cabling, break/fix, MAC activities, hardware swaps, audits, and deployment projects.
  • Drive labor utilization, throughput, productivity, and schedule attainment across deployment teams.
  • Coordinate operational priorities across customers, engineering teams, logistics functions, and supporting stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for deployment-related operational issues.
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with approved SOPs, MOPs, CMOPs, and customer standards.
Customer & Program Management
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for customer stakeholders.
  • Participate in operational reviews, planning meetings, staffing discussions, and business reviews.
  • Provide updates regarding staffing, capacity, deployment status, risks, mitigation plans, and operational performance.
  • Build trusted relationships with customer teams through consistent execution and communication.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through operational excellence and proactive issue resolution.
Operational Excellence & KPI Management
  • Own site-level deployment performance metrics and reporting.
  • Monitor and improve productivity, technician utilization, SLA attainment, deployment throughput, quality performance, inventory accuracy, safety performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive operational standardization and best practices across deployment activities.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience supporting data center, telecommunications, infrastructure deployment, technical operations, or mission-critical environments.
  • 3+ years of experience leading large technical workforces or operational programs.
  • Experience supporting hardware deployment, network infrastructure, structured cabling, break/fix operations, or large-scale technical field services.
  • Experience managing customer-facing service delivery operations.
  • Strong operational planning, workforce coordination, and program management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly scaling environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting hyperscale data center deployment programs.
  • Experience leading workforces of 50+ technical resources.
  • Experience supporting hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, or mission-critical environments.
  • Experience with server deployments, network infrastructure installations, asset management, and large-scale hardware refresh initiatives.
  • Experience with workforce planning, KPI reporting, operational dashboards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • OSHA 30, PMP, ITIL, CompTIA Network+, BICSI, FOA, or equivalent certifications.
  • Experience supporting greenfield campus launches or rapidly expanding deployment programs.
  • Open to relocation to the New Albany, OH area, or willing to travel to support the program.
