Job description

Cable Technician

Looking to grow your career in data centers and network infrastructure? This is a hands-on opportunity to work on large-scale builds.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Install and route Cat5, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling
  • Pull and terminate cables, including 110/66 blocks and patch panels
  • Perform rack & stack installations and build out network closets
  • Install cable trays, conduit, and wireways in commercial environments
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
  • Support data center builds both indoors and outdoors
  • Use hand and power tools (drills, cutters, compression tools, etc.)

What We’re Looking For

  • 1+ year of commercial cabling experience
  • Experience with:
    • Structured cabling (Cat5/Cat6)
    • Punch-downs and terminations
    • Cable installation and routing
  • Basic understanding of fiber optic cabling
  • Ability to read blueprints and project specs
  • Knowledge of communications color codes
  • Reliable transportation to job sites

Nice to Have

  • Fiber pulling experience
  • Network equipment familiarity
  • Data center or large commercial build experience

Work Environment

  • Construction and data center settings
  • Physically active role requiring lifting, tool usage, and movement

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Gallatin, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
