Job description

Join a team that treats you like family! We value and invest in our employees, and are currently looking to fill several positions in our husband & wife run Jacksonville, FL based business. Seeking both experienced and inexperienced data cable infrastructure cabling technicians. Construction background is helpful. Experience is NOT necessary, we will train!

Experienced Technician Qualifications:

  • Min 2 yrs. data cabling experience
  • Min 1 yr experience leading & managing crew of 4 or more technicians
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to read floor plans, equipment layouts, control diagrams, line diagrams, & other architectural, mechanical, & electrical plans
  • Professionalism in high paced stressful situations
  • Exceptional organization & prioritization skills
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards
  • Experience with utilization of both fiber & copper testing equipment
  • Experienced in fiber fusing, copper termination, & complete data cabinet buildout
  • Clear and professional communication skills with management, co-workers, & customers
  • OSHA 30 certificate
  • MEWP certificate
  • Please list any additional certifications &/or licenses

Requirements for both Experienced & Inexperienced Technicians:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation with required insurance coverage
  • Must be able to pass all criminal background checks & drug tests
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any US employer & a legal US citizen
  • Willing to work on-call, day, night, or weekend shifts as the jobs require
  • Ability to work mandatory overtime to meet business needs if required
  • Able to be out of town for up to 2 weeks at a time
  • Typical work week could be approximately 50-60 hrs a week depending on job site requirements & deadlines
  • A preference for operating in a fast-paced, technical environment with a high degree of critical thinking & problem solving
  • Maintain required certificates an&/or licenses
  • Ability to consistently carry/move/transport 50+ pounds
  • Work from elevated heights of 6-45ft
  • Motivated to work both individually & as a team quickly to complete tasks
  • Fluent english speaking
