Job description

We are seeking a Lead Data Architect with deep expertise in digital commerce, product data architecture, and Adobe Commerce to lead the evolution of an enterprise product data ecosystem.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of product information, commerce architecture, and data governance. You will own the technical architecture for customer-facing product data, helping define how product information is modeled, governed, and delivered across digital commerce platforms.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in **Product Content Management (PCM), Product Information Management (PIM), Adobe Commerce, and enterprise data architecture**, with the ability to improve existing solutions while designing a scalable future-state architecture.

Responsibilities

* Lead the architecture and strategy for customer-facing product data across digital commerce platforms.

* Serve as the technical owner for Product Content Management (PCM) and Adobe Commerce architecture.

* Design scalable product data models that support configurable products, product variants, bundles, kits, and complex product relationships.

* Partner with Data Governance teams to improve data quality, stewardship, ownership, and consistency.

* Define and optimize integrations between Adobe Commerce, ERP systems, PIM platforms, and content management systems.

* Evaluate existing commerce architecture, identify gaps, and develop practical solutions that build upon current investments.

* Improve product data structures to support personalization, customer-facing experiences, and future digital capabilities.

* Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to establish governance standards and long-term architecture strategy.

* Provide hands-on architecture leadership while guiding enterprise product data initiatives.

**First 30 Days**

* Assess the current product data architecture and identify data quality and integration gaps.

* Document workarounds and prioritize improvements based on business value and technical risk.

* Develop remediation recommendations for the highest-priority issues.

**First 90 Days**

* Define and socialize the target-state architecture.

* Establish a clear vision for product data governance and digital commerce integration.

* Influence enterprise PIM planning and architectural direction.

**First 12 Months**

* Deliver a more stable, governed, and scalable product data architecture.

* Establish a well-defined integration strategy between digital commerce platforms and enterprise product data systems.

* Remove key product data constraints that enable future digital commerce capabilities.

Required Qualifications

* 8+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture, digital commerce architecture, or solution architecture.

* Extensive experience with Adobe Commerce (Magento Commerce).

* Strong hands-on experience with Product Content Management (PCM).

* Experience implementing or supporting Product Information Management (PIM) platforms such as Akeneo, Pimcore, Syndigo, Informatica Product 360, Stibo, Salsify, or similar.

* Experience designing customer-facing product data models.

* Strong understanding of product hierarchies, configurable products, bundles, variants, product attributes, taxonomy, and product relationships.

* Experience integrating commerce platforms with enterprise systems such as ERP and CMS platforms.

* Knowledge of Data Governance and Data Stewardship principles.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
