Manager, Process Management, Emerging Technologies Enablement (Hybrid)

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a powerful new technology that is transforming how we support associates and service customers. The AI development process relies on annotated data to train and evaluate machine learning models. The work to review and evaluate data and highlight or annotate data is a critical human contribution to the machine learning process.

The Emerging Technologies Enablement (ETE) team provides an enterprise data annotation capability to support Capital One's ever evolving AI capabilities. This is a burgeoning new organization that is seeking an experienced leader to help shape and support the future of data annotation at Capital One.

As a Manager within ETE, you will:

  • Lead a team of ETE Leads (process managers) in delivering flawlessly executed processes that improve business efficiency and drive results. You and your team will guide use cases through the entire annotation project lifecycle for ETE partners (intake, readiness, monitoring and delivery).

  • Develop and drive improvements throughout the delivery process. and be a leader in developing and executing processes to deliver value back to the enterprise through ETE provided services. . You will monitor data trends to measure effectiveness and install necessary benchmarks or thresholds to ensure data integrity and high quality results. You will educate and gain buy-in from key stakeholders concerning the utilization of process to ensure appropriate execution each time.

  • In the area of Team Enablement & Leadership, you will foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and excellence within the team, while providing guidance, mentorship, and support to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities. Additionally, you will champion best practices in content strategy, project management, knowledge sharing, and inter-team collaboration.

General Responsibilities:

  • Creating and validating processes

  • Designing and producing metrics used to measure efficiency and effectiveness

  • Driving process improvements aligned with desired customer outcomes

  • Analyzing, identifying, and correcting data issues with systems used or owned by a department

  • Providing subject matter expertise on processes when representing the department in projects and other meetings

  • Managing and leading a team of associates

Location: This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to spend 3 days per week working in office and the remainder of the week working virtually.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in Process management

  • At least 2 years of experience in Project management

  • At least 2 years of experience in People management

  • At least 2 years of experience in Relationship management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree

  • Lean certification or Six Sigma certification

  • At least 5 years of experience in Process management

  • At least 5 years of experience in Project management

  • At least 5 years of experience in People management

  • At least 5 years of experience in Complex problem solving

  • At least 5 years of experience in Relationship management

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
