What is a data annotation tech remote?

Data Annotation Tech Remote jobs involve working from home or another remote location to label, tag, or classify data such as text, images, audio, or video. This work is essential for training and improving artificial intelligence and machine learning models. Data annotators use specialized software tools to accurately identify and categorize data according to specific guidelines provided by employers. These roles require attention to detail, consistency, and sometimes subject-matter expertise, depending on the project. Remote data annotation jobs are popular because they often offer flexible schedules and the ability to work from anywhere.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and consistency when reviewing recordings and AI-generated outputs.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, particularly when providing structured feedback and annotations.
  • Experience with linguistic annotation, language training, voice coaching, speech evaluation, or AI training projects is a plus.
  • Comfortable learning and working with new AI tools, recording platforms, evaluation systems, and project workflows.
  • Reliable, self-directed, and able to manage freelance work effectively in a remote environment.
  • Access to a high-quality recording setup, including a reliable professional-grade microphone and a quiet, controlled recording environment.
  • Secure computer equipment and a stable internet connection suitable for remote recording and AI-related project work.
Benefits
  • Freelance contract opportunity with a remote workplace setup.
  • Competitive pay ranging from $6 to $65 USD per hour, depending on experience, expertise, and geographic location.
  • Flexible freelance engagement that allows you to contribute to AI development remotely.
  • Opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI and speech technologies.
  • Chance to apply your professional Maltese voice expertise to the development of advanced AI voice models.
  • Opportunity to contribute to AI experiences designed for large-scale, global audiences.
  • No company-sponsored health insurance, paid time off, or other employee benefits, as this is a contractor position.
  • Contractors are responsible for providing their own secure computer, high-quality microphone and recording setup, and stable internet connection.
