Job Summary:
Abaka AI is built on the mission to be the worldโ€™s most trusted data partner for AI companies, supporting global partners with scalable data solutions. The Data Solutions Engineer will bridge technical execution and customer needs across AI data projects, working closely with clients and various teams to design scalable data workflows and support project execution.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and define scalable data workflows
โ€ข Translate customer needs into operational plans, technical specifications, and execution strategies
โ€ข Support AI data projects across image, video, audio, text, reasoning, and multimodal domains
โ€ข Troubleshoot dataset quality issues and identify workflow improvements
โ€ข Collaborate cross-functionally with Project Management, Operations, Research, GTM, and Engineering teams
โ€ข Assist with dataset reviews, QA processes, delivery validation, and project health tracking
โ€ข Build or improve lightweight internal tooling, automations, and operational systems
โ€ข Support presales conversations by helping scope project feasibility, timelines, and technical requirements
โ€ข Develop a strong understanding of frontier AI workflows, benchmarks, and model development needs
โ€ข Contribute to internal documentation, process standardization, and operational scalability
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 1โ€“4 years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Data Operations, Technical Program Management, Analytics, Consulting, AI Operations, or related fields
โ€ข Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
โ€ข Highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
โ€ข Comfortable operating in fast-paced startup environments with evolving priorities
โ€ข Interest in AI, machine learning, multimodal systems, or data infrastructure
Preferred:
โ€ข Familiarity with SQL, Python, scripting, APIs, spreadsheets, or workflow automation tools is a plus
