Position Summary

The Assistant Manager, Commercial Analytics & Business Intelligence is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that support data-driven decision-making across Sales, Product Management, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations functions.

This role will lead the development of data models, reporting platforms, analytical tools, and automated business processes while ensuring data quality, accessibility, and governance. The successful candidate will transform complex business requirements into scalable BI solutions that improve operational efficiency and deliver actionable insights.


Key Responsibilities

Business Intelligence & Analytics

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI and other BI tools.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable data and reporting solutions.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reporting for Sales, Product Management, Supply Chain, Finance, and Executive leadership teams.
  • Support and optimize analytical data environments, including SSAS cubes, SQL Server databases, and semantic data models.
  • Manage AHAM and other external industry datasets to generate actionable business insights.

Pricing, Promotions & Trade Terms (PP&T)

  • Support the development and execution of pricing and promotional strategies across multiple product categories.
  • Develop and maintain tools and processes to manage pricing, promotional planning, and trade terms.
  • Create and maintain retail and regional price lists to support sales execution and customer communication.
  • Develop and maintain promotional calendars, planning templates, and related calculation models.
  • Support Sell Through Allowance (STA) calculations, deduction analysis, accrual tracking, and promotional spending simulations.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across pricing and promotional planning processes.
  • Analyze promotional effectiveness, pricing performance, and trade investment ROI.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to monitor promotional spending, sell-through performance, and pricing compliance.
  • Support MAP/PMAP monitoring and pricing governance activities where applicable.

Process Automation & Operational Excellence

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and business processes.
  • Develop automation solutions using SQL, Python, Power Automate, Excel VBA, APIs, and related technologies.
  • Improve reporting efficiency, reduce manual effort, and increase data accessibility across the organization.
  • Create tools and applications that support business planning, forecasting, pricing management, promotional planning, and performance tracking.
  • Deliver recurring and ad hoc analyses, including executive-level reporting and business performance reviews.
  • Support cross-functional decision-making by transforming complex data into clear and actionable business insights.

 

 

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or related fields.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering end-to-end BI solutions.
  • Experience supporting commercial functions such as Sales, Product Management, Finance, or Supply Chain is preferred.

Technical Skills

Required:

  • Advanced SQL development and database management skills.
  • SQL Server technologies including SSIS, SSAS, and SQL Server Agent.
  • Strong Power BI development experience including data modeling and DAX.
  • Experience designing and maintaining data warehouses and analytical data models.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with ETL development and data integration.
  • Python programming for data processing and automation.
