Job description

Resp & Qualifications

PURPOSE:

The Data Reporting & Analytics Intern role exists as a hiring strategy to bring in students enrolled in an accredited college or university who are pursuing at least a Bachelors degree in analytical and/or data visualization related fields to learn the business and technical side of healthcare from the ground up. Data and Analytics creates cutting edge analytic tools/visualizations to drive insights and faster decision making within the organization and provides critical support for key corporate initiatives. This role will require interaction with project stakeholders and business partners within the organization. This position will use analytically derived insights to develop and test solutions that enhance consumer engagement, improve health outcomes and reduce health care costs. This is a fast-paced, collaborative, and iterative environment requiring quick learning, agility and flexibility.

This is a Year-Round Internship. We are looking for students who can commit to work up to 15-20 hours per week during regular business hours (M-F 8-5PM) for the academic year in the Fall/Spring and 35-40 hours per week during the summer.  This student will join our Fall cohort starting in October 2026. 

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Under the leadership and direction of a Manager of Reporting and Analytics, the principal duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following in a continuous learning environment:

  • Work with multiple systems to extract, integrate and use large volumes of data to drive business insights.
  • Complete ad hoc and production analysis and reports in support of major corporate programs.
  • Develop visualizations (Dashboards, scorecards, etc.).
  • Contribute and work on account reporting, quality and cost of care, provider performance, clinical outcomes, care program operations and efficiency.
  • Generate clear and concise documentation for project-based work.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:  This position requires an individual working towards at least a Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University.  Junior or Senior Undergraduate student targeting majors in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or closely related field.  Graduate level students will also be considered. Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above.  

Abilities/Skills:

Students should possess the following skills:

  • Beginner programming experience with SQL, R, Python, DBeaver, Snowflake, PowerBI or similar stack achieved through relevant coursework.
  • Strong research, analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills and willingness to learn.
  • Beginner experience using leading visualization tools.
  • Willingness to work with and learn new technologies.
  • Beginner design work and/or use of relational databases.

Salary Range: 19,760 - 26,000
