The focus of the Fox 2/ KPLR 11 News internship program is to have students gain real-world experience in the television station's News department.

KTVI/ KPLR is currently accepting News Internship applications for the 2026 Fall semester. Internships for this semester are unpaid. Interns must be receiving college credit. News internships are designed for aspiring broadcast journalists seeking hands-on experience in a local newsroom. Interns will potentially work with reporters, photojournalists, and producers.

Internship Details:

  • Internship schedules will be based on requirements from college or university
  • Interns will be well-supervised and participate in a meaningful learning experience

Requirements & Skill:

  • Juniors and seniors studying broadcast journalism, video production, or other communication degrees
  • Internships must be for school credit
  • Be of advanced skill level due to complexity of projects
  • A collaborative worker with a willingness to learn
  • Previous internship experience a plus
