Job description

Title: Director of Marketing
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Location: Minnetonka, MN (Hybrid)
Company: Infinity Direct
About The Company - Advertising Agency: Infinity Direct is a full-service direct marketing agency in Minnetonka, MN. We work in a fast-paced, yet flexible atmosphere as a close-knit group of talented professionals. From direct mail to digital marketing and website development to traditional print ads and collateral materials.
To be a great fit for our team, you need to truly care about your job. While you must be a team-player with attention to detail, we're more concerned about relationships and how you treat your colleagues. If you think you're the perfect mix of professional skill, warm personality and honest values, we are eager to hear from you.
Position Overview
Infinity Direct is seeking a Director of Marketing to lead the promotion and positioning of the agency within the marketplace. This role is responsible for increasing awareness of Infinity Direct's capabilities, supporting new business opportunities, and establishing the agency as a recognized thought leader in data-driven direct response marketing.
The Director of Marketing will develop and execute marketing programs that showcase the agency's expertise in data analytics, direct mail, and integrated marketing strategy. This individual will serve as a visible representative of the company through industry content, events, digital marketing, and strategic communications.
This role works closely with leadership to translate the agency's strategic capabilities into compelling market-facing messaging that attracts prospective clients and strengthens the company's industry presence.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand & Market Positioning
  • Develop and manage the marketing strategy for Infinity Direct.
  • Define and communicate the agency's value proposition and differentiators.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across website, sales materials, and external communications.

Thought Leadership & Content
  • Lead development of thought leadership content including articles, case studies, white papers, and presentations.
  • Translate internal expertise (data strategy, direct mail innovation, campaign analytics) into market-facing insights.
  • Support leadership in publishing content and speaking opportunities.

Demand Generation
  • Develop marketing programs with Strategy and Business Development that generate qualified leads and new business opportunities.
  • Manage digital marketing initiatives including website optimization, email campaigns, and social media.
  • Support Business Development efforts with marketing materials, presentations, and case studies.

Industry Visibility
  • Identify opportunities for Infinity Direct to participate in conferences, industry events, and publications.
  • Coordinate speaking engagements and event participation.
  • Build relationships with industry organizations and media outlets.

Marketing Operations
  • Oversee the agency website, marketing communications, and brand assets.
  • Track marketing performance metrics including lead generation, engagement, and brand awareness.
  • Manage external marketing vendors or partners as needed.

Qualifications
  • 8-12+ years of marketing experience, preferably in B2B services, agency, or marketing technology environments.
  • Strong experience developing thought leadership and content-driven marketing programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to build brand visibility and generate qualified leads.
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing digital marketing channels and marketing campaigns.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in marketing services, direct response marketing, or data-driven marketing environments.
  • Familiarity with direct mail, analytics, customer segmentation, or marketing performance measurement.
  • Experience promoting consulting or agency services.

What Success Looks Like
  • Infinity Direct gains increased visibility and credibility within the direct marketing and data-driven marketing community.
  • The agency produces consistent thought leadership that differentiates its capabilities.
  • Marketing efforts generate a steady pipeline of qualified prospective clients.
  • Leadership and sales teams have strong marketing support for business development.

The key to this role is someone who can extract the intellectual property already inside our company and turn it into market-facing content. Because based on what we've built (segmentation frameworks, geographic friction, modeling approaches, etc.), we actually have a lot of strategic IP. Most agencies never surface that.
The right person would turn that into:
  • Articles
  • Conference talks
  • LinkedIn content
  • Case studies
  • Sales narratives
  • Industry credibility

Language Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, prospects, vendors and employees of organization.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals and company policies. Ability to write procedures, correspondence, and routine reports.

Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks in order to complete a variety of different tasks in a given time.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving multiple variables in a wide variety of situations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Advanced logical reasoning is required.

Mathematical Skills
  • Advanced skills in mathematics, statistics and mathematical reasoning are required.

Physical Demands
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
  • The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
  • General office setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
